Call For Registration: i-LIKE AFRICA



i-LIKE AFRICA is searching for interested young men and women aged 18-35 years old to register for the program.

This is a program driven by
ILIKE AFRICA, a subsidiary of Woodside Africa Group Limited.
 
i-LIKE AFRICA's mission is to cultivate interest in ICT amongst the youth in Africa. This is with the aim of getting more young people to participate in ICT related enterprises as their way of contributing towards the economy.

In this regard, the i-LIKE AFRICA program is designed to take participants through the following:
1. Certification in training in basic ICT skills and enterprise.


2. Competition on the best ICT business model and plan (part of the training)


3. Incubation which includes mentoring, feedback meetings and motivational talks by industry experts

4. Forums with Venture capitalist and financiers

5. Publication of some cases to encourage other young people to participate in ICT based enterprises.

Training equipment shall be provided by the i-LIKE AFRICA, in conjunction with our partners. You will be able to carry your basic note book (commonly referred to as 'small laptops') with you at all times to ensure assimilation of the material learnt in the classroom.


To participate, one must meet the following criteria:
1. Male or Female
2. Age between 18 years to 35 years old (proof of age is required)
3. Must have AT LEAST a high school education (equivalent of Kenya's 8-4-4 education system).
4. Must have basic skills in reading, writing and speaking in English.
5. Must be a citizen of any of the African countries (proof required)



PLEASE NOTE THAT ICT SKILLS ARE NOT A MUST AT THE REGISTRATION POINT. THOSE PROFICIENT IN ANY ICT SKILLS WILL STILL NEED TO BE TAKEN THROUGH THE TRAINING WITH NO EXEMPTIONS.


Training begins May 2016, though the date may be changed should there be need to.

To book your space now and secure one of the limited spaces available for 2016:
1. Ensure that you meet the criteria above, as admission will only be given to those that provide the required proof during the second phase of registration.


2. Send an email to info@woodsideafricagroup.com with:
a. your full names as indicated on your national identity card or passport.
b. cell phone number
c. age
d. level of education
e. your town of residence
f. your nearest shopping center or church
g. and country
h. A fee of ksh 5000 (five thousand only). This is for registration and program immersion.


Please note that this fee is not refundable, or transferable, therefore one must ensure that they meet the requirements and are committed to go through the whole process.

Mode of payment is either:

1. Paybill number is 199 157 registered to Woodside Africa Group Ltd. Insert your full name when prompted for 'Account Number'

2. Checks addressed to 'ILike Africa'
Cash payments shall not be accepted.
