Hair Expo 2014: Chance to Reveal Other Styles, not just weaves

The Kenyan ladies have been under constant attack for their preference for weaves. They have even been branded fake and extravagant for no apparent reason. Weaves can
be stylish and it is not easy for men to tell that one is wearing a weave at times.
The beauty of a woman is often linked to her hair and so you should not be so quick to judge those who opt for weaves.

Weaves are not the only hair style that women have. Thanks to the upcoming hair expo, Kenyan hairdressers have the chance to display to the public the vast styles that women can choose from.

For a woman to look good and receive complements she must have spent at least two hours in the saloon and parted with at least Kshs. 1,000. What I am saying is that beauty is costly and time consuming. So please let us appreciate the time and effort put into making our women glow and minimize on the harsh criticism.

Lupita Nyong’o and Margret Kenyatta are very attractive with their short hair. Let us face reality, not all women can look equally attractive and that is where weaves come in.

The hair expo I am talking about will be on 11th March 2014 starting 8:30 AM till 7:00 PM. The event will take place at the Prestige Plaza, Ngong Road in the Exhibition Hall and participants will part will just Kshs. 300 entry fee.

This is the first ever hairdressing competition in Kenya. There will be 12 prestigious titles to be worn and the judge panel will comprise of Farouk, Ronnie and Mercy.

Apart from competing for the various titles there will be a session of training on hair management tips by Muli Musyoka a re-known Trichologist. Come and learn how to say goodbye to bad hair days.

Ladies plan and purpose to attend the Hair Expo and learn something new about hair. Spread the word.
